TAL Objectives
- Preserve, maintain and carry forward the cultural heritage of Telugu Community in the UK.
- Assist and propagate cultural, literary, educational, social, economic and community affairs of the people of Telugu community in UK.
- Organise periodic Telugu literary, cultural and educational conferences, seminars, workshops to promote TAL objectives; and, to collaborate, cooperate, assist and encourage Telugu literary, cultural and educational conferences, seminars in the UK and other countries.
- Encourage and facilitate to follow the Telugu customs, traditions and values. Foster friendship and understanding among Telugus and promote unity among the community.
- Organise, encourage the charity events and programmes for the benefit of the people in general and community in particular.
- Initiate, promote and maintain unity, friendly, co-operative relations with other Telugu organisations in the UK, Europe and other countries.
- Raise, solicit, collect and disburse funds, charities and donations for cultural, educational and charitable purposes either directly or in cooperation with other not-for-profit organisations in the UK and other countries.
- Affiliate and cooperate with and help to manage associations or societies having similar objectives.
- To stimulate imaginative and progressive thinking in the arts, and to act as a consistent forum for innovative, experimental and new artistic endeavour to enrich our art and literary forms.
- Support and encourage the societies, institutions, bodies, individuals dedicated for the development of Telugu language, literature and art forms.
- Organise and workout exchange programmes for children and youth to bridge live cultural relations with Andhra Pradesh.
- Negotiate to promote and propagate Telugu language and Telugu history through the media and other institutions.
- Negotiate and represents to concerned authorities, institutions, governmental bodies in the UK as well as in India for the general problems of the community.
