President's address TAL 1st May 2008

On Behalf Of Telugu Association of London (TAL), I wish you a very Happy and Prosperous Telugu New Year, Sarvadhari Ugadi.
TAL is Three years old now. We are young and are burning with passion…a passion to share and cherish Telugu culture; a passion to see and be part of the inclusive growth of Telugus both here in the UK and back Home
We are privileged in living in a developed, modern, liberal and democratic country. The Britons here are hard working, sincere, welcoming to other cultures and their openness collectively contributes to their success . Hence we can see the Multiculturalism of this country- that is how we are able to live here. On behalf everyone we thank them for the opportunity they are giving us

we promise that we make significant positive contribution to this society. We want recognition and that what TAL wishes to achieve. We Telugus-Indians are very talented in almost every field , even in politics. We are Law abiding-sincere hard working-always willing to help-That is strength of our Telugu community

We are proud about our Indian culture and values. What is required is to blend our culture with that of the Britons. Pick and choose those values that made the Britons the beautiful mankind . It is essential for minorities to blend with the majority in order to understand and appreciate the way they live, and they appreciate the way we live. Yet, it is a challenge for all us. A challenge that we face in bringing up our children, a challenge that we face in what we do, a challenge that we face in what we do not do. It is not a challenge that individuals face, it is indeed a social challenge ,involving everyone. We need to pool our strengths together to make sure we discuss the issues that we all face. It is a collective effort for which we need common dais. And TAL is one such

I urge each one of you to spread the word about TAL. Let us make this forum strong by joining hands. We need men, we need women and we need youth. It is them who can bring added value to our lives. Let us engage them in the development process.

This is Election year, we hope to have Elections this year provided we get enough members
I request you to join as members. Once you are a member you are eligible to contest and vote as per constitution. I urge you to join and take TAL forward.

TAL had several successful functions, not achieved everything what it wanted to, in 3years faced many challenges ,but i can assure you our Executive committee worked hard & did their BEST. I THANK THEM FOR THEIR DEDICATION AND SUPPORT, WITHOUT THEM WE WOULDNOT BE AT THIS STAGE. Please understand our difficulties. If you felt that we have not fulfilled your expectations we are sorry. We believe that we are still crawling and trying to stand on our feet- we are sure we will walk & run soon with your support

TAL is planning several programmes to help the communities here and abroad we will keep you informed of the progress through E-mails and website which is re-vamped by IT secretary and Telugu one.com is managing it. From now it will be updated regularly-thanks to Telugu one.

TAL is for everyone who really want to do service to the community-
We celebrate Ugadi-Christmas-id- everyone is welcomed-Every party politicians are welcomed-TAL is one party- one religion- one caste-
