President's address TAL 18th April 2009
President
Dr. Ramulu Dasoju
Dear members and friends,

On behalf of Telugu Association of London (TAL), I wish you a very happy and prosperous Virodhi Nama Samvtsara Ugadi. You may be aware that this is auspicious and special day as it is TAL’s 5th birthday and our New Year; therefore it is very important day for all of us.

I thank you for the members who have elected me as President again to lead TAL for the next two years. We have conducted elections in the month of October 2008 and The New Executive Committee was elected unanimously.

We have now a strong Team of sincere, hard working, talented, enthusiastic EC members and I am most grateful for their support and dedication for TAL. I am honoured to be with this great team.

Most importantly, we have elected Board of Trustees which is the highest body in TAL as per our constitution, which was agreed in recent Annual General Meeting (AGM). I convey the members and various sub committees that the Executive Committee should work as per our constitutional guidelines. It is important that we should work to develop as professional body

We had our First Annual General Meeting in December 2008, a major Mile stone in TAL’s history. As an elected body we have great responsibility to develop TAL as a dynamic charity organisation to serve our community living in and around London. In order to achieve this task, we seek your support and help.

We have conducted many activities and programmes during 2008 - 2009. New members have voluntarily come forward to take part in our activities in various levels. We are very pleased about this; however, we need more volunteers to achieve our aims and objectives.

Our people are multi talented and giving significant contribution to the society. Let us not forget our roots, our culture but my request is to blend, try and integrate with the local community. Let us help our people and help others as well and we should all work together to bring recognition to our community.

I would like to thank our honourable Chief Minister of A.P Dr.Rajashekhar Reddy and Shri Chandrababu Naidu, president TDP for sending their messages supporting TAL which is published in our Souvenir.

I take this opportunity to thank our sponsors, donors and without their support, a dynamic organisation like TAL cannot sustain.

This year is going to be a tough year. As we know that the current economic crises, we are facing more challenges to achieve our tasks in personal level as well as organisational level. I wish you all the best in your careers and future. Finally I want to say with sincerity that we are all from same part of the world, Andhra Pradesh, having same culture and traditions. We should be all together and united. We are away from Home, we should try to help, support each other and let us share our difficult and good times together.

Let us all take pledge to do service whatever, whichever way we can.

Please ask your friends and request them to join TAL which is your organisation.
We wish you all the best and May God bless you
